A device for viewing oscillations of the horn-like protuberances on the head of a giraffe as electrical voltages

Ossiscope is a combination of two words oscilloscope (a device used to read electricity) and ossicone (a giraffe's horn)

It's all some sorta metaphor.
I've mentally been in a better place the last few years so I feel more skilled to examine myself in a more positive light, and it feels like it's been a long time since I've been able to do so. So, in a sense I am the ossicones looking down on myself and I'm using music as a gauge.

That's some of the meaning behind the the album. Also I like giraffes and the look of old oscilloscopes.

I put a lot of work into this album. I spent a year recording the vocals and hating them every time. Eventually I found a rhythm that fit and I slowly became happy with the results. I became obsessed with the idea that every track needed it's own distinct space to be in. So I started recording wild sounds. I recorded in the forest, in ikea, in a grave yard and by a lake. Any song that doesn't have a location sound has a different way in which I approached trying to create a location. I mixed every track with very little skill but learned a lot in the process.

I hand made all 30 cassettes and it was so much work. Like way to much work for such little pay off.

I am incredibly proud of how everything turned out and I hope you enjoy my efforts. I know I have.
