This is an homage to relaxation and meditation tapes from the days of yore.

The album features and uses Manolis Zantanos as it's center point. Manolis is a staple of the Hamilton comedy community.
He is kind and he is very much a dude.

I met him doing stand-up and he was always helpful and understanding. When I started doing less stand-up and focused more on music Manolis got right behind that.

He started finding me things to sample. All these amazing cassettes. Self help stuff, weird relaxation things, just quirky nostalgic junk that I love. I'll get a text with an audio recording of a record or tape he recorded with his phone asking if I'm interested in that record. We meet up generally just in front of my house and he'll offload a bunch of records and tapes and tell me which ones I can keep and which ones he wants back.

Sprinkled throughout the album you will find pieces of wisdom recorded from Manolis and wonky beats made by yours truly.

For me this was such a wild experience in beat exploration. Especially in regards to "The Christian Mingle". The original song is 6 minutes long and is comprised of about 40 or so christian tapes. Manolis brought me two boxes of christian sermons and gospel tapes and I decided to make one song with that. It's not cohesive and its not always pleasant but it was a hell of a time trying to create it. You can only hear the 6 minute version on the cassette.

Thank you for buying/listening/reading or whatever. I love doing this and it warms my heart I get to make my weird little art and a handful of people like it.
